Ayla is developed by Brain+, a specialist health tech company dedicated to improving dementia care through evidence-based digital solutions. Based in Copenhagen and led by a team of neuroscientists, clinicians, technologists, and healthcare innovators, Brain+ has spent years working to make high-quality dementia therapy more accessible for everyone who needs it.
Our work is guided by a simple belief: every person living with dementia deserves the chance to stay connected, independent, and engaged for as long as possible. That’s why we created Ayla – a digital Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) assistant designed to help therapists and carers deliver CST sessions more easily, consistently, and effectively.
Recognised for its innovation, Ayla has been selected by the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme and the Alzheimer’s Society to take part in their dementia innovation programme. It is also the first CST software certified as a medical device in the UK, ensuring safety, quality, and real-world impact.
Today, Ayla is already being used by therapists and care teams across Denmark, with growing adoption in the UK. Our mission is to bring CST to more people, breaking down barriers so that therapy can reach anyone who could benefit – wherever they are.

What is CST - and Why Does It Matter?
Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) is a structured, group-based approach proven to help people with mild to moderate dementia.
It supports:
Memory - by keeping the mind active
Mood - by boosting self-esteem and reducing isolation
Connection - by encouraging conversation and shared experiences
It's not just activities. It's a recognised therapy backed by NICE, the same organisation that approves medications. CST delays cognitive decline by 4-6 months - with no side effects.
Most care homes don't deliver CST, simply because they've never had the tools.
